Shortlisted for Outdoor Photographer of the year 2018

I’m happy to announce that I have been shortlisted for Outdoor Photographer of the year for the second year, with these three images. This competition is run by Outdoor Photography Magazine.  Last year I was one of the winners for the category Small World looking at nature in its smallest forms.

This Grasshopper was taken on a holiday to Tobago. As well as the abundant bird life I was also attracted to the small wildlife on the Island. This image was taken on the banks of a small track in amongst the grass. I had to lie on my belly to get the right composition for this image.

On one of the many beaches in Tobago if you looked carefully you would find these ghost crabs. This one was digging sand out of its hole in the sand. I just waited for the right moment to catch the crab throwing sand having a slow shutter speed to show the movement of sand.

And finely this was taken at are family’s allotment. The image was taken in the bed where there was more of same flower giving a back drop of the same colours
